3 Ways to "Unlock The Power of Your Root Chakra"...and a few more

You may have heard of the Root Chakra or Chakras in general, or maybe you wonder "what is the Root Chakra all about?"

It's not as complex as one may think. The Root Chakra is in every living being. It's also known as the first Chakra and it's located at the base of the spine. It represents survival. You may have heard people say that they feel "blocked" or "out of balance", and find it hard to function in certain ways. For example financial issues, trauma, disconnected from self, are Root Chakra areas which need re-connection. So there is hope. Initiating the healing process is possible with your own efforts.

When this chakra is out of balance, what takes place is fear, insecurity, anxiety, lack of stability, and the like.

When we are grounded, we feel present in the moment, centered, and able to handle whatever comes our way with ease and confidence.

For those of you who would like to balance this chakra, here are 3 ways you can start today.


1. Meditation / Prayer: There are so many ways to meditate. The right way to do it is by what works best for YOU. You can even find so many meditation sounds on Youtube. Do a search and find out what works for you. Meditation is good because it removes us from whatever may be blocking any of our chakras (energy centers), and by doing this, we get out of our own way and can start over with a fresh perspective. Find your quiet comfortable space (even if it's before the kids awaken or when you put them down to bed). It doesn't have to be long and drawn out. Start with 5 to 10 minutes in silence.

2. Reiki Energy: I, as a Certified Reiki Master, can tell you that this energy works no matter where you are. There are new ways revealed today, even for self-healing with Reiki. There's also distance Reiki healing. I use the custom grid method, but everyone is different. By focusing on the part that needs attention, it may work for you.

3. Essential Oils: Woodsy essential oils such as Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Pachouli, and Frankincense (woodsy yet spicy) usually help because they are a part of the earthiness and groundedness. Of course there may be others you favor more. It is most important "I say" to go with what makes us feel more at peace and harmony. For example, I love Lavender and Rose, but I could go for the Pachouli or a blend because it vibrates well with me. You may have a different one. You can either inhale or use a small diffuser. Also a nice bath of essential oils. My advice is to do a 24-hour allergy patch test first.

Of course there are many other ways, as these are only a few to get you started.

Also, sometimes just stepping away from a situation and evaluating it can empower you because when you don't see what you like or experience what you want, then with meditation as well you can assimilate what you do want and change it.

Red Jasper: This is a number one to wear when wanting to feel more grounded, especially emotionally.

Black Tourmaline: This is one of my favorites. It neutralizes negative energy. If you must be around a toxic person or environment, this would be a great stone to wear.

Smoky Quartz: This one helps with anxiety. It's a calming crystal giving you a sense of peace and stability.
